BARROCO
📍312 Saint-Paul St W
Located on one of the oldest streets in Montreal, Barroco is the original restaurant from Groupe Barroco. It opened in 2008 and mixes French, Italian and Spanish flavours to create an amazing menu.
Its name comes from the Baroque period, which took place during the 17th century and is associated with deep colours, details and grandiose designs. This is reflected in Barroco’s interior design with its old-world charm. Its dark, wooden interior is accented with deep colours and antique decorations. It is dimly lit with a candle-filled fireplace, further heightening the cozy ambience. With 40 available seats, it allows for peaceful solitude or intimate gatherings with friends.
Groupe Barroco has gone on to expand its fleet of restaurants and bars over the years. Each location – such as Milky Way and Bon Délire – has its unique atmospheres that are all equally as inviting.

Clandestino
📍436 Saint Francois Xavier St
Even though Quebec never experienced prohibition, you can still take your night out to a new, sneaky level at Clandestino. Opened in 2017, this newer spot is located on Saint-François-Xavier and acts as a creative speakeasy. After you enter through a walk-in fridge door, you are greeted with a moody ambiance and a menu full of tequila and mezcal.
The interior feels very secluded with its dimly lit seating areas and cavern-like architecture. The warm colours as well as soft textures and fabrics further enhance their refined, high-class feel. They have a large variety of tequila and mezcal brands in-house and different flavours of salt to enhance your experience. You can order these drinks in a trio, by the ounce or by the bottle. With around 30 seats available, the feeling of seclusion and secrecy is at an all-time high.
